The New SWS-PowerBox® V-5.0 Underframe

July 22, 2024

Exciting Innovations in Cold Chain Freight for rail!

We’re thrilled to introduce the SWS-PowerBox® V-5.0 Underframe, our latest advancement designed specifically for reefer containers and deep-sea cold chain freight. This new model brings a host of improvements, including some key features from our other electrification systems.

One of the standout aspects of the V-5.0 is its compatibility with the same main parts as the SWS-PowerBox® V-4.2, ensuring homogeneity in spare parts and simplifying maintenance processes. This means that you can enjoy the benefits of cutting-edge technology without worrying about complex part replacements.

Our new underframe is available for the flat wagon sizes 60′, 80′, 90′, and 104′. As an example loading scheme for a 90′ wagon: 4x 20′ 2x 40′ 45′ and 45′ plus diesel gen-set (up to 14 meters container length).

SWS-PowerBox® V-5.0 has integrated the latest real-time monitoring technology. Deveopled with our partner optiMEAS GmbH. These features provide unparalleled oversight and control, ensuring everything is in optimal condition throughout every journey.

The presentation of the system will be in September 2024. Stay tuned for more updates, and feel free to reach out for more information!
